Use the Juried Artists Roster to identify pre-qualified Western Washington artists whose work ranges from stand alone art pieces, to components that are integral to the architecture and buildings, all the way to master art planning for large scale development projects. The roster is open to any private individual, professional designer, or real estate developer who would like to commission artwork.
Each artist listed in the Artist Index is qualified to do work in one or more of the three corresponding JAR Categories: Site Specific Art Commissions (SSAC), Architecturally Integrated Elements (AIAE), and Master Plan and Design Team Consultancies (MP/DTC). Click on any artist name in the Artist Index page, and the Artist Details page will indicate in which of the categories an artist is qualified, as well as show examples of their work and contact info.

Every two years there will be a new call to artists and the jury process will begin anew. New and existing artists may apply to the JAR at that time.
Although the JAR is a public resource, private parties interested in incorporating artwork into the built environment should contact the artists directly, as the Bainbridge Island Arts and Humanities Council (BIAHC) and the Public Art Committee (PAC) are not involved in the commissioning process for private artworks. While the BIAHC and PAC may use the JAR to commission public artworks when a call to artists is not feasible, they do not participate in any client-artist relationships, and are not involved in any negotiations, agreements or contracts either written or verbal between client and artists.
